Black Soft Leather Handbag

The Collector’s Hill bag is produced using the finest Spanish and Portuguese leathers. It also has a soft and smooth texture which gives the bag a lightweight feel while maintaining its box-like shape. Designed by Bermuda Born, it’s medium in size and is best for carrying everyday items in style. 

This black leather handbag is named after a significant place in Bermuda, Collector’s Hill.  Collector’s Hill is a long stretch of hill located in the Parish of Smith’s and an area where the Collector of HM Customs resided in the mid-1700s. We imagine that the Collector would have used a bag such as ours to collect taxes and the many items that were owed from ship owners, privateers and others arriving by boat with their goods. The home of Thomas Smith, ‘the Collector’, still exists and is owned by the Bermuda National Trust; it is now called Vermont Museum and is open for the public to view.

The Collector’s Hill bag is sized at 30cm x 9cm x 18cm. It has a long gold zip for closure with and leather zip puller to finish. On interior it has a gold zip pocket for extra storage. Handcrafted to the highest quality by the finest artisans in Portugal.
